A.J. Brown is still a member of the Philadelphia Eagles.
He could be less than two weeks away from a trade to the New England Patriots, though.
A headline on Pro Football Talk on Sunday read, "The final countdown to an A.J. Brown trade begins."
PFT's Mike Florio went on to explain what he means.
"June 1 is eight days away," Florio begins. "An A.J. Brown trade is as little as nine days away. As of June 2, the Eagles can trade Brown and spread the dead-money charge over two years. Most believe it’s just a matter of time before the trade happens. Most believe Brown will be traded to the Patriots."

The feeling all along has been that if Brown were to get traded, it would happen after that date. The Eagles trading Brown before June 1 passed would sign themselves up for a much worse salary cap situation.
"It’s entirely possible that the deal is unofficially done," Florio writes. "Trade terms agreed to, and both teams keeping their mouths shut until Brown passes a physical and both teams communicate the terms of the transaction to the league office."
Florio does cite the failed Maxx Crosby trade from the Raiders to the Ravens as a reason to not get too far ahead of ourselves on this.
But all signs point to a Brown trade from Philly to New England.
It'd be a big pickup for the Pats, who let Stefon Diggs go this offseason, signed Romeo Doubs and would love a true WR1 for Drake Maye.
And for the Eagles, it'd at least be a move away from drama, even if it means subtracting a talented player from their offense.
Soon enough, the NFL world will know for sure.
