Elite 2027 IMG Academy receiver trims list down to 5 teams

One of the best receivers in the 2027 class has trimmed his list down to five teams.

Osani Gayles, a four-star receiver from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, announced his top five on Wednesday. It includes Alabama, Tennessee, Washington, Notre Dame and Stanford.

A top-50 player in the class per the 247Sports composite rankings, Gayles is originally from Tracey, California. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound wideout transferred to IMG ahead of his junior campaign in 2025, and he finished the season with 20 catches for 492 yards.

Alabama is viewed as a slight favorite for Gayles, who is set to take an official visit to Tuscaloosa on May 29.

He is also set to visit Tennessee on June 12 and will take official visits with all five finalists, per On3, though not all of those dates are currently known.
