Elkhart golf improves to 12-1 with two wins

Ben Divido shot a 36 to earn medalist honors, as the Elkhart boys golf team won a pair of Northern Indiana Conference matches on Monday.

The Lions finished with a total of 152, while South Bend St. Joseph had a 157 and South Bend Riley 213 at Erskine Golf Course.

Ryan Molyneaux backed Divio's effort with a 28

In baseball action, Manny Pizano had three hits and drove in three runs, while braxton Cline had a home and three RBIs, as Goshen beat Wawasee, 11-1 in Northern Lakes Conference play.

Winning pitcher Bray Hoag allowed just three hits and struck out six.

Finley Miller earned a win with a two-hit shutout while striking out 12, to lead NorthWood to a 6-0 win over Plymouth.

Jet Rulli led the Panthers' offense with two hits, including a double, and driving in four.

Edwardsburg scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to edge Jimtown, 6-5.

Jaxon Rinehart had a double and drove in two runs for the Eddies.

Senior Owen Biggs had a triple and drove in two runs, while Brayden Presley also drove in two for Jimtown.

In softball action, Madelyn Lambert and Payton Sears each drove in two runs, while Victoria Vega homered, but it wasn't enough, as NorthWood dripped a 12-4 decision to Plymouth in NLC play.
