ESPN Extends Contract with Senior Writer David Dennis Jr.
ESPN has announced that senior writer David Dennis Jr. will continue his tenure with the network, having signed a multi-year contract extension. This news was shared on Thursday through a post on ESPN's public relations account on X, highlighting Dennis Jr.'s significant role in the coverage of various cultural and social aspects related to sports.
Recognized for his insightful commentary on the intersections of sports, race, and culture, Dennis Jr. will remain an essential contributor to Andscape, ESPN’s platform focused on Black culture and sports. “Honored. Thankful,” he expressed in his response to the contract renewal.
Joining The Undefeated, now known as Andscape, in 2021, Dennis Jr. brought with him a wealth of experience from a decade-long career that included contributions to notable publications like The Atlantic and The Washington Post. His presence on the ESPN panel show Around the Horn in 2022 helped solidify his reputation for candid discussions on critical issues.
