Everton and Juventus Show Interest in Arsenal's Gabriel Jesus
Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus is currently attracting attention from several clubs, including Everton and Juventus, as speculation mounts about his future in North London. After joining Arsenal from Manchester City in 2022 for £45 million, expectations were high for the Brazilian to enhance the team with his proven track record of success. Although he was part of the squad that ended a 22-year Premier League title drought, his overall contributions, totaling 32 goal involvements in four seasons, have not quite matched the anticipated output.
In addition to his goal tally, Jesus has faced challenges with injuries, which have significantly impacted his playing time. Notably, he suffered a cruciate ligament tear that sidelined him for nearly a year in 2025, along with a knee injury that kept him out for approximately 100 days in December 2022, according to Transfermarkt. With his contract set to expire next summer, Arsenal must now decide whether to retain or sell the forward.
Everton appears to be keen on acquiring Jesus but is hesitant to meet Arsenal's current £20 million asking price, primarily due to his injury history. According to Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke, the Toffees are looking to negotiate a lower fee, keeping in mind the striker's recent fitness issues. Manager David Moyes has been working with forwards Beto and Thierno Barry, who combined for 18 goals last season, indicating a need for more reliable attacking options.
However, Everton is not alone in their pursuit; Juventus, AC Milan, and Palmeiras are also reportedly monitoring the situation. As Jesus missed out on a spot in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup, a transfer may be on the horizon as he considers his options during the offseason.
