The highly anticipated football clash between Georgia and Alabama on October 10 is officially set for a night kickoff, as announced by the Southeastern Conference on Wednesday. This marks an exciting matchup for the two-time reigning SEC champion Bulldogs as they prepare to face the Crimson Tide under the lights.

Georgia's game against Auburn, scheduled for October 17, will kick off in the afternoon, with a time range between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. Additionally, their home opener against Vanderbilt on October 3 will start early, between 12 and 1 p.m. The annual rivalry game against Florida will take place in Atlanta this year at 3:30 p.m., airing on ABC. This is consistent with the traditional time slot previously held in Jacksonville, where the game has been played for many years.

Notably, the Georgia-Alabama game has been designated as a "prime-time" event, with kickoff times typically falling between 6 and 8 p.m. Furthermore, five of Georgia's games this season are categorized as flex games, meaning they will not start before 3:30 p.m. These include the home match against Oklahoma on September 26, as well as home games against Missouri and Georgia Tech, plus road games at Ole Miss and South Carolina.
