Georgia baseball: Schedule, tickets, parking, TV for NCAA Athens Regional
Georgia baseball is hosting an NCAA regional for a third straight year and the ninth time in program history.
That’s all three seasons under coach Wes Johnson.
Overall, this is the 16th time Georgia has appeared in an NCAA Regional.
The Bulldogs have won seven of those, won four super regional championships and made six trips to the College World Series.
Who are the teams in the NCAA baseball Athens Regional?
The No. 1 seed in the Athens Regional is Georgia (46-12) which is the No. 3 national seed.
The others teams are No. 2 region seed Boston College (36-21), No. 3 region seed Liberty (41-19) and No. 4 region seed Long Island (30-20).
What days, times, channels are the NCAA baseball Athens Regional games?
The NCAA Athens Regional starts Friday, May 29, and runs through Monday, June 1, if necessary. The games will be shown on the ESPN family of networks, including on streaming. Only Friday's games have set first pitch times with Liberty-Boston College at 2 p.m. on ESPN+ and Long Island-Georgia at 7 p.m. on the SEC Network.
Georgia baseball NCAA Regional history
Georgia will be making its 16th NCAA Regional appearance. The Bulldogs are 37-22 overall in regionals.
The Bulldogs are 23-10 in games in Athens and have also played in Atlanta, Chapel Hill, N.C., Corvallis, Ore., Tallahassee, Fla. and Waterbury, Conn.
This is the eighth time Georgia has been a national seed. The Bulldogs made it to Omaha three of those times.
What is the format of an NCAA baseball regional?
The regional is a four-team field playing in a double elimination bracket that runs from Friday to Monday, if necessary. The teams are seeded 1 through 4.
There are 16 regional sites with the winners of each moving on to play in eight best-of-three super regional series June 5-7 or June 6-8 for a spot in the College World Series.

The Foley Field outfield commuter lot and Carlton Deck beyond the Foley Field outfield wall and across from the Dan Magill Tennis Complex is available to park for the Athens Regional. There is no reserved parking.
