Georgia transfer tries out for the Falcons
Former Georgia Bulldogs cornerback Nyland Green is among the long list of players trying out with the Atlanta Falcons at rookie minicamp. Green went undrafted in the 2026 NFL draft and did not immediately sign as an undrafted free agent following the draft.
Green is hoping to find a spot in the NFL, but he faces steep competition. The former Georgia cornerback transferred to the Purdue Boilermakers after spending three seasons at Georgia (2021-2023). Green is a former four-star recruit.
He left Purdue after the 2024 college season and transferred to the Arizona State Sun Devils for his last year of college football. In 2025 with Arizona State, Green totaled 10 tackles and three pass deflections.
The most productive year of his college career came in 2024 when he recorded 23 tackles, five pass deflections, two sacks and a forced fumble with Purdue. Green never had an interception in his college career.
Other players with Georgia ties trying out for the Falcons include Georgia Tech products Malik Rutherford, Omar Daniels, Clayton Lee and J.T. Bryne.
