Saeta, the manufacturer responsible for the jerseys, announced on Wednesday that they collaborated with the Haitian Football Federation to modify the design. The original concept was meant to "celebrate the pride, resilience, and spirit" of the Haitian people, with Saeta clarifying that they did not intend for it to convey a political message.

According to Saeta, FIFA determined during a review that some visual elements in the design could be interpreted in a way that contravenes its equipment regulations, leading to a request for changes.
