Hugo's Family Marketplace Extends Sponsorship of Grand Forks BMX Track for Five More Years

GRAND FORKS — The local grocery chain Hugo's Family Marketplace has announced that it will remain the naming sponsor of the Grand Forks BMX track for an additional five years. This decision ensures that the venue will continue to be known as Hugo's Raceway. The news was revealed on Tuesday by Red River BMX and Oak View Group, the latter of which oversees the Alerus Center on behalf of the city.

Hugo's Raceway has been a hub for BMX racing, hosting a variety of local, regional, and national competitions while also offering a space for youth of various ages to engage in the sport. The track is conveniently located next to the Alerus Center. To mark the continuation of this partnership, a special event will take place at 1 p.m. on July 17, coinciding with the kickoff of the 2026 Red River Nationals.

Kristi Magnuson Nelson, president and CEO of Hugo's Family Marketplace, expressed enthusiasm about the ongoing collaboration.
