Huskies Secure Commitment from Four-Star Receiver Dontay Tyson

Exciting news for Husky fans: four-star wide receiver Dontay Tyson from Peoria High School in Arizona has officially committed to the University of Washington, choosing them over Texas A&M. Standing at 6 feet 1 inch and weighing 190 pounds, Tyson is viewed as a physically developed player who is expected to make an immediate impact on the team.

The Huskies identified Tyson as a key target early in the recruitment process, ultimately securing his commitment following an official visit over the past weekend. During his junior year, Tyson showcased his skills by recording 37 receptions for 448 yards and scoring 7 touchdowns across seven games.

In a heartfelt message on social media, Tyson expressed his gratitude, stating, “Thank u GOD for allowing me to play the Sport I love.”

With this addition, Tyson becomes the third wide receiver to commit in the 2027 recruiting class and the fourth player from Arizona to join the Huskies. Currently, the team has a total of 17 commitments and may still pursue another wide receiver, with updates expected this Sunday.
