Indiana Fever's Raven Johnson Uncertain for Upcoming Game Following Ankle Injury

The Indiana Fever may face a significant setback as rookie guard Raven Johnson is currently marked as questionable on the injury report ahead of their WNBA clash against the Toronto Tempo this Tuesday. Reports from Chloe Peterson of IndyStar indicate that Johnson sustained a left ankle injury during practice, although she managed to leave the court on her own.

Selected with the 10th overall pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft, Johnson hails from South Carolina. The 23-year-old has encountered a few injury challenges throughout her career, including a serious knee injury that sidelined her during her freshman year in college. So far this season, she has participated in 13 games, contributing an average of 4.3 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game, with a shooting percentage of 43.8%. Head coach Stephanie White has been cautious in her integration into the professional ranks.

In addition to Johnson's uncertain status, teammate Caitlin Clark is also mentioned on the injury report but is expected to play against the Tempo. Clark has been managing a back injury but is listed as probable. White noted that Clark's designation might remain the same for the foreseeable future, particularly after the league's warning regarding improper injury reporting last May.

The Fever are riding a wave of momentum, having secured an 85-75 victory over the Connecticut Sun last Saturday, which marked their third consecutive win and elevated their record to 8-5. In that game, Clark shone brightly, leading the team with 25 points, along with three rebounds, five assists, and five three-pointers, showcasing her skill on the court.

Prior to this win, the Fever achieved a thrilling 114-106 overtime victory against the Chicago Sky, where Clark and Aaliyah Boston made history as the first teammates in WNBA history to each score 30 points in the same game.
