Jacks baseball heads to Lincoln for NCAA regional
BROOKINGS, S.D. (KELO) — SDSU baseball heard its name called in the NCAA tournament selection show on Monday morning.
The Jackrabbits are headed to the Lincoln regional where they will face number thirteen seed Nebraska in the opening round. Ole Miss and Arizona State are athe other two teams slated to play in the regional.
This is SDSU’s second-ever NCAA tournament berth and first since 2013 following a Summit League championship win over Oral Roberts over the weekend.
“We’ve played plenty of really good teams and I know the wins and losses didn’t show up early as being really favorable but we saw stretches and games where we can play with anybody if we played good baseball,” head coach Rob Bishop said. “I think getting a couple guys healthy and really just kind of pitching and defending at the end of the year really well.”
First pitch is set for 3pm.Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed.
