Jaosuayai Embraces New Opportunities Beyond the Ring in Music Video Debut
Jaosuayai Mor Krungthepthonburi, a 24-year-old Muay Thai fighter, has spent his career striving for success in the competitive world of martial arts. Known for his relentless fighting style, he has made a name for himself in the sport. Recently, however, he stepped outside the ring for a unique experience: a surprise role in a music video.
Before his upcoming flyweight kickboxing match against Yuan Pengjie at The Inner Circle on June 5, which will be streamed live from Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium, Jaosuayai reflected on this unexpected venture into the entertainment industry. He remarked, “Looking back, I never dreamed that I’d ever get a foot in the entertainment industry. If I hadn’t gotten the platform to prove myself in ONE, I’m certain this opportunity never would have come my way.”
The chance to appear in a music video came when he was invited to work with renowned Thai luk thung artist Phai Phongsathon, a favorite of his father's. “I was approached to star in a music video for Phai Phongsathon, who happens to be my dad’s absolute favorite artist. I didn’t hesitate for a second and accepted the gig immediately,” he said, recalling his excitement and nervousness on set. “But the crew and everyone on set were incredibly welcoming, which made everything run super smooth and hassle-free.”
Jaosuayai credits his success with ONE Championship, where he has a record of 60 wins and 25 losses, for opening up these new opportunities. Since joining the organization, he has gained significant recognition, earning a six-figure contract and notable victories, including a head-kick knockout at ONE Fight Night 32. This ascent has not only increased his visibility but also stabilized his income, allowing him to support his family.
Despite his confidence in the ring, Jaosuayai admits that acting was a challenge that pushed him beyond his comfort zone. He described himself as shy and uncomfortable with public attention, saying, “Doing that shoot shattered a massive wall for me. I’m actually a pretty shy guy who lacks public confidence, but trying something completely new like that felt like a massive personal evolution.” This experience has inspired him to consider creating his own content, aiming to share a more personal side with fans through a potential YouTube channel that reveals the realities of his training and daily life. “I want the fans to see a more personal, candid side of me that’s different from the savage version they see on TV,” he explained.
