NORTHEAST KANSAS (KSNT) – This week’s episode of K-Nation focuses on the Big 12 Tournament Champion Kansas Jayhawks hosting the Lawrence Regional, NCAA golf regionals and more. Plus, an exclusive one-on-one with K-State long jumper Tah Chikomba.

• Dan Fitzgerald was named back-to-back Big 12 Coach of the Year, while seven Jayhawks picked up Big 12 conference honors
• Kansas became the first team since TCU in 2021 to win both the Big 12 regular season and conference tournament titles, after defeating West Virginia 9-0 in the title game
• Kansas will host its first-ever regional in program history, running Friday, May 29 through Sunday, May 31
• Dee Kennedy and Bear Madliak both picked up Big 12 honors, first team and and honorable mention, respectively
• No. 11 seed K-State upset No. 10 Utah and No. 7 TCU in their first two games of the Big 12 Tournament, before falling to No. 2 seed West Virginia, 4-2
• Kansas softball’s Ella Boyer was named a freshman All-American by Softball America, as she helped her squad reach the postseason for the first time since 2015

• K-State track and field saw three first place finishers at Big 12 Outdoor Championships: Vanessa Mercera in the women’s 400 meter hurdles, Selva Prahbu in the men’s triple jump and Tah Chikombah in the men’s long jump
• Kansas track and field had a trio of first place finishes at the outdoor conference championships: Emmah Jemutai in the women’s 1500 meter and 800 meter, John Swabik in the men’s decathlon and Anthony Meacham in the men’s pole vault
