The New York Knicks are on the verge of a statement sweep Monday night in Cleveland, carrying a commanding 3-0 lead into Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers. What has stood out most during New York’s dominant run is not just the victories, but the manner in which they have controlled the series.

The Knicks have won all three games by double digits, showcasing resilience, depth and elite offensive execution. Game 1 immediately shifted the tone of the matchup when New York erased a stunning 22-point fourth-quarter deficit before pulling out a 138-127 overtime win on the road. The comeback was one of the largest fourth-quarter rallies in conference finals history, fueled by Jalen Brunson’s late-game shot-making and timely bench production.

Since then, the Knicks have only tightened their grip on the series. In Game 2, New York held Cleveland to 93 points while extending its playoff winning streak to nine games. Josh Hart delivered a playoff career-high 26 points, continuing a postseason run in which the Knicks have consistently overwhelmed opponents with pace and physicality.

Saturday’s 121-108 victory in Game 3 may have been New York’s most complete performance yet. The Knicks shot 56 percent from the floor, had all five starters score in double figures and committed only 14 turnovers. Brunson led the way with 30 points and six assists, while Mikal Bridges added 22 points on 11-of-15 shooting. New York has now won 10 consecutive playoff games, becoming just the 10th team in league history to accomplish the feat during a single postseason.

Meanwhile, frustration is mounting for Cleveland. Cavaliers coach Kenny Atkinson told reporters his team was “analytically” winning portions of the series despite the 0-3 hole, comments that drew criticism from multiple outlets including the New York Post.

Now the Knicks sit one win away from their first NBA Finals appearance since 1999 — and based on the first three games, they look determined to finish the job tonight.
