Limited-Edition Bobblehead Celebrates Raiders’ New Quarterback Fernando Mendoza

As the NFL season approaches, excitement is already brewing for the Las Vegas Raiders, particularly with their new quarterback, Fernando Mendoza, quickly becoming a fan favorite before even stepping onto the field. On Friday, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, introduced a special bobblehead celebrating Mendoza, marking the beginning of the Las Vegas festivities while also highlighting his rise as a professional athlete.

Phil Sklar, co-founder and CEO of the museum, expressed enthusiasm for the project, recalling his collaboration with Mendoza as the Indiana Hoosiers clinched a national championship against the Miami Hurricanes in January, capping off an undefeated season. Selected as the No. 1 overall pick by the Raiders during the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, Mendoza made history as the first quarterback from Indiana to achieve this honor and also became the school’s inaugural Heisman Trophy winner.

“We’re excited to unveil this unique bobblehead featuring Fernando Mendoza standing next to the iconic bobbling Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign, welcoming the quarterback to Vegas,” Sklar stated. “Fernando is sure to be a fan favorite in Las Vegas, and this will be a must-have for his fans, including those in Vegas, his hometown of Miami, and of course, Indiana fans who cheered him and the Hoosiers on to the National Championship!”

Mendoza, who had an outstanding final season in college, emphasized the importance of teamwork and downplayed individual accolades after the championship victory. “That’s one thing about our team,” he told ESPN. “We’re always going to put it all on the line. I had to go airborne. I’d die for my team. Whatever they needed me to do.”
