Saints snaps three-game losing streak by beating Omaha
The St. Paul Saints got back to crushing the ball to snap a three-game losing streak.
Kyler Fedko homered twice, David Banuelos and Aaron Sabato also homered as St. Paul beat Omaha 14-4 on Wednesday night at CHS Field. The Saints scored single runs in each of the second through the fifth innings before exploding for eight runs in sixth and two in the seventh.
Fedko was 4 for 4 and now has 10 home runs for St. Paul this season. He drove in four runs and scored three times. Sabato drove in three runs, while Kaelen Culpepper scored three runs on a hit and two walks out of the leadoff spot.
Fedko opened the scoring with a solo homer in the second. Gabriel Gonzalez had an RBI single in the third, followed by Fedko homering again in the fourth.
Banuelos homered in the fifth and then started scoring in the 8-run sixth with an RBI single. Culpepper drove in two runs with a double, a run scored on a wild pitch, Hendry Mendez had an RBI groundout and Sabato capped the inning with a three-run homer, his 10th of the season.
Aaron Rozek started on the mound and pitched three scoreless innings with no hits allowed. He walked one and struck out three. Ty Langenberg followed and earned the win with three innings of relief, giving up just one run.
