Ancelotti Prepares Brazil for Egypt Match, Casemiro Supports Endrick
On Wednesday, the Brazilian National Team continued its preparations for an upcoming friendly match against Egypt, scheduled for Saturday, October 6. Coach Carlo Ancelotti conducted a training session at Columbia Park Training in New Jersey, where he made several adjustments to the lineup.
In this session, Ancelotti introduced five new players compared to the starting eleven that faced Panama. Among the changes, Marquinhos and Gabriel Magalhães were anticipated inclusions, while Douglas Santos was selected for the left-back position. Lucas Paquetá replaced Luiz Henrique, and Igor Thiago took Matheus Cunha's place in the lineup.
The revamped starting team includes Alisson; Wesley, Marquinhos, Gabriel Magalhães, and Douglas Santos; Casemiro and Bruno Guimarães; Lucas Paquetá, Raphinha, Igor Thiago, and Vinícius Júnior. The team will engage in both morning and afternoon training sessions on Thursday, accompanied by press conferences featuring players Wesley and Fabinho.
The match against the Egyptian squad, led by star Mohamed Salah, will kick off at 7 p.m. (Brasília time) at Huntington Bank Field Stadium in Cleveland. In a notable moment during practice, Casemiro accidentally brought down Endrick during a challenge and later expressed his apologies, a move that drew mixed reactions on social media.
