Olympic champion Simone Biles recently shared a distressing health incident that required a short hospital stay. On June 6, she posted an image on her Instagram Story showing her arm adorned with hospital wristbands, explaining that she had been "in bed resting this week."

"I’m not one to normally share things like this because I value privacy in today's age, but almost dying wasn't on my bingo card earlier this week," Biles wrote, reflecting on the frightening experience. She also mentioned the situation was particularly alarming as her husband, Jonathan Owens, was away in Indianapolis for Colts offseason training. This update comes just over a month after her last public appearance at the Laureus World Sports Awards in Madrid on April 20. At that event, Biles discussed her uncertain future in gymnastics, mentioning that her potential return for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics remains a difficult decision, stating, "I feel like we're still at a 50-50 and that we're still on a time crunch here now."
