Super Bowl Champion Jalen Sundell to Lead Youth Football Camp in Maryville

MARYVILLE, Mo. — Jalen Sundell, a Super Bowl-winning player with the Seattle Seahawks, is set to conduct a youth football camp on Wednesday, July 8, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Maryville High School football field. This event is designed for kids ranging from prekindergarten to sixth grade and will feature non-padded activities.

A flyer promoting the camp highlights that Sundell, a proud alumnus of Maryville High School, will share his expertise with young athletes from the surrounding four-state area. He aims to teach them the essential skills of football while ensuring they enjoy the process. “Jalen will be there to assist and give his guidance on the skills he’s learned throughout his career,” the flyer notes.

Sundell made history as the first Spoofhound to win a Super Bowl after graduating from Maryville in 2018. While at the school, he played as a center and earned accolades as a four-year letterman under coach Matt Webb, achieving recognition as a two-time all-conference player. His standout performance in 2017 earned him the title of Class 3 Offensive Player of the Year, contributing to the team’s impressive 13-2 state championship season.

After high school, Sundell joined the North Dakota State University football program in 2018, where he redshirted his first year. His talents helped propel the team to significant offensive achievements, and he received honors including Phil Steele’s FCS Freshman All-America recognition. Following a successful college career, which included starting every game during his final season, Sundell was drafted by the Seahawks in July 2024. He played a pivotal role in the team’s victory in Super Bowl 2025, where they triumphed over the Patriots with a score of 29-13.

The upcoming camp welcomes “youth in the Midwest area who want to learn football from a Super Bowl champion who plays the game of football and life the right way,” according to the promotional materials. The registration fee is $40 per child, and participants are advised to bring cleats as no pads are necessary. Interested families can sign up at tinyurl.com/SundellYouthCamp2026.
