Tai Phillips, 3-Star Running Back, Commits to Alabama

Three-star running back Tai Phillips has made his commitment to Alabama official, as reported by Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett. The promising athlete, who stands 5-foot-11 and weighs 180 pounds, is anticipated to secure a regular spot in the Crimson Tide's backfield as soon as next season.

Phillips selected Alabama over offers from Florida State and Stanford. He is expected to join the team in Tuscaloosa during the training camp next summer. Additionally, he has scheduled an official visit to Alabama from June 12-14, where he aims to impress the coaching staff ahead of his freshman year in 2027.

Ranked as the 48th running back and 856th overall player in the 2027 class according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Phillips holds the 12th position among players from South Carolina. He is expected to make a significant impact during his senior year at Irmo High School before heading to Alabama.

With Phillips now on board, Alabama continues to pursue top talents from the 2027 recruiting class, further solidifying its roster for the future.
