Tayler Biehl Joins AUSL Roster, Continuing Arizona's Legacy

Tayler Biehl, a standout infielder from the University of Arizona, is set to take her talents to the AUSL this summer as she was recently added to the Utah Talons from the reserve pool. Biehl, who aspires to become a nurse, will balance her professional ambitions with her passion for softball.

During her collegiate career, Biehl primarily played shortstop and garnered impressive accolades, including the Pac-12 co-Defensive Player of the Year in 2024. Known for her defensive skills, she was recognized as a glove-first player, yet her performance consistently surpassed expectations throughout her time in Tucson.

As a freshman in 2023, Biehl displayed versatility by stepping into various positions, including right field and as a backup catcher, amid a wave of team injuries. Her efforts earned her a spot on the Pac-12 All-Freshman team and marked the beginning of her four-time recognition as an NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete.

By her senior year, Biehl had transformed her image, achieving a .328 batting average and surpassing her previous career highs in several categories. Her impressive performance secured her places on both the All-Big 23 First Team and the NFCA All-District Second Team, along with being named the Big 12 Scholar Athlete of the Year for softball.

Biehl is among several former Wildcats who have transitioned into the AUSL this season. Alongside fellow Arizona graduates Grace Jenkins and Jalen Adams, she represents a strong legacy of talent from the program. Additionally, Sydney Stewart, another Wildcat, was drafted by the Portland Cascade, contributing to Arizona's notable presence across all six AUSL teams.
