Tetairoa McMillan Shows Off New Physique During Panthers Minicamp

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan showcased his enhanced physique during the NFL’s mandatory minicamp, although he was unable to fully participate. After adding nearly 17 pounds of muscle this offseason, McMillan shared his commitment to bulking up in order to withstand the demands of the upcoming season.

During a press conference following Wednesday's session, McMillan revealed that he dedicated his winter to strength training and a balanced diet, albeit with one notable exception: "No vegetables ... no vegetables." Despite his transformation, he remained limited during the final phase of offseason training activities. On Tuesday, the 6-foot-5, 230-pound athlete took part in individual drills but sat out the team’s 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 activities. He received a rest day on Wednesday, as the minicamp is set to conclude on Thursday at Bank of America Stadium.

Last season, McMillan made a significant impact, becoming the first Panthers player to earn the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year award since Cam Newton in 2011, with a record of 70 receptions for 1,014 yards and seven touchdowns. The Panthers are set to kick off the 2026 season against the Arizona Cardinals in the Hall of Fame Game on August 6, and training camp is scheduled to begin in mid-July.

Despite a recent foot injury incurred during an OTA practice, McMillan expressed optimism about his readiness for training camp. "I hope so," he stated. "I'm good right now. So, shoot, I should be able to be there." The 23-year-old is looking forward to building on his rookie experience, noting, "I feel good right now. Second year in the playbook, I'm not a rookie no more to where new things come flying at me. The game's a lot slower and I got a year under my belt, 18 games."
