Three-Star WR Cameron Hurst to Transfer to Grayson High School

In a recent post on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, Cameron Hurst, a three-star wide receiver from the Class of 2028, announced his decision to transfer from Buford High School to Grayson High School in Loganville, Georgia, for the upcoming 2026 season. Hurst expressed gratitude for his time at Buford and shared his enthusiasm for new opportunities at Grayson. “I’m thankful for my time at Buford and excited for the new opportunities, challenges, and experiences ahead at Grayson as I continue my academic and athletic journey,” he stated.

During his previous season with the Buford football team, Hurst recorded 17 receptions, accumulating 231 yards and scoring one touchdown. His impressive performance has already attracted attention from several college programs, with offers from Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Texas A&M, and Wake Forest.

As Hurst joins Grayson, he will be under the guidance of first-year head coach Greg Carswell, who will lead a Rams team that includes notable players such as 2027 four-star offensive lineman Jordan Agbanoma, 2028 four-star EDGE Elijah Tillman, and 2027 quarterback Deuce Smith. Last season, Smith threw for 2,355 yards and 24 touchdowns, showcasing the team's offensive potential.

Grayson High School concluded the previous season ranked fifth in Georgia, according to the final Georgia 2025 High School Football Massey Rankings. Known for its robust academic programs and competitive sports, Grayson has built a reputation for excellence both on and off the field, positioning students for success in their future endeavors.
