Titans' Anthony Hill wants to hold up the tradition of his new number

In somewhat of a curveball thrown by Tennessee Titans head coach Robert Saleh this weekend at rookie minicamp, the Titans’ eight draft picks barely took part in the action. But that didn’t stop them from meeting with the media.

One of those who did meet with the media, Anthony Hill Jr., talked about a few different things, but possibly the most interesting was how he came to wear number 53.

“That was one of the only numbers open. But then I did some research around the number and seen it (worn by a) legendary linebacker, Keith Bulluck. So now, y’know, I gotta hold up to the tradition. So I’mma just try to work hard every day and reach that level he reached.”

From the interview, Hill responded to a question about his relationship with the Titans’ great.

“Have I had a conversation with him? Not yet. Hope to kinda connect, get to talk with him. But I’m rockin’ his number so I gotta connect with him, see what he’s all about, watch highlights, get a good feel for it.”

When Hill finally connects with Bulluck, he will discover he has some large shoes to fill. And Titans fans are hoping it happens.
