Titans Secure Jeffery Simmons with Historic $105.8 Million Deal

The Tennessee Titans have made a significant move ahead of training camp, finalizing a remarkable contract extension for star defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons. General manager Mike Borgonzi has been active in the offseason, and on Friday, he announced the completion of a three-year extension worth $105.8 million, which includes a staggering $100 million guaranteed. This deal marks Simmons as the highest-paid defensive tackle in the history of the NFL.

According to NFL insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo, Simmons’ new contract was negotiated by agents Todd France and A.J. Stevens from Athletes First. The announcement was confirmed on social media by France, highlighting the importance of this deal for both the player and the franchise.

Coming off a stellar 2025 season, Simmons showcased his prowess on the field, achieving personal bests in sacks, tackles for loss, and forced fumbles while leading the league in several defensive categories. His exceptional performance earned him recognition as the AFC Defensive Player of the Month for December, along with All-Pro honors and a spot in the Pro Bowl. Many believe he was even a contender for the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award.

With Simmons now secured for the foreseeable future, the Titans are expected to shift their focus to extending the contract of starting guard Peter Skoronski, which Borgonzi identified as a key priority earlier this offseason.
