Trade Speculation Surrounding Jaylen Brown Dismissed by Insider

The Boston Celtics have found themselves at the center of trade discussions involving Giannis Antetokounmpo, which has inevitably placed Jaylen Brown's name in the rumor mill. To facilitate a move for the two-time MVP, the Celtics would likely need to part ways with Brown due to salary cap constraints. However, sources indicate that the Milwaukee Bucks are not interested in retaining Brown as a cornerstone of their franchise; instead, they would prefer to trade him for additional assets, requiring a third team to complete the transaction.

On Sunday, NBA insider Greg Afseth reported that there were speculations linking the Los Angeles Clippers to a possible deal involving Brown. According to Afseth, "A potential multi-team trade framework making the rounds in league circles would bring Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Boston Celtics and send Jaylen Brown to the Los Angeles Clippers, with the Clippers’ No. 5 overall pick going to the Milwaukee Bucks as part of the return," as noted in his report.

However, just two days later, NBA insider Jake Fischer countered these rumors. On a Bleacher Report livestream, Fischer stated, "I've made calls on that. I have been told that that is not true. Los Angeles has not looked into any real avenue here at all. At this juncture, I've been told repeatedly that the Clippers have every intention to stick around at the No. 5 pick and make a selection."

While the idea of a trade involving Brown has circulated, Fischer's insights suggest that such a move is not on the Clippers' radar at this time. Therefore, the prospect of Brown heading to Los Angeles appears to be remote.
