Wan'Dale Robinson Selects No. 4 to Commemorate Late Friend Rondale Moore

Titans wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson has made a significant change to his jersey number following his move from the Giants. Previously donning No. 17 throughout his four seasons in New York, Robinson opted for a different number upon joining Tennessee, choosing to honor his late friend Rondale Moore.

"I didn't want [No. 17]," Robinson shared during an interview with Kay Adams on FanDuel TV. "I was going in wanting a single digit, and then also my late friend, Rondale Moore, he wore No. 4. So that was kind of the reasoning behind me getting that number. Just kind of to honor him, and the time that he was here." Robinson expressed a desire to leave the past behind and embrace a new chapter in his career.

While Robinson could have pursued the No. 17 jersey held by Chimere Dike, who made a name for himself as an All-Pro returner during his rookie season, he felt a strong connection to the single-digit number. Dike, who wore No. 17 in college at Ohio State, will now wear No. 14 with the Titans.

Rondale Moore, who tragically passed away in February due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound, was a close friend of Robinson's. The two developed a strong bond while training together in Louisville during the final two years of Robinson's high school career. This personal connection adds depth to Robinson's choice of jersey number, serving as a heartfelt tribute to his friend.
