Spears indicated that a close associate of James believes the superstar will remain in Los Angeles, leaving the Warriors to get inventive in their search for veteran talent. “You got to see if you could move up in the draft,” Spears advised. He mentioned names such as Anthony Davis and Kyrie Irving as potential targets, noting that the Warriors need to explore all avenues to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.

One key recommendation from Spears was the idea of re-signing unrestricted free agent Kristaps Porzingis, emphasizing the importance of retaining Draymond Green, a cornerstone of the Warriors' success. “I do think it's going to be on the Warriors front office to come up with something creative to help put them back in the mix,” he said.

Furthermore, Spears suggested the Warriors should consider reaching out to the Sacramento Kings about DeMar DeRozan, who could add depth and scoring to the team. “I think DeMar would be really happy to come,” he noted, highlighting the need for the Warriors to be innovative in bringing in additional firepower.
