There was never a doubt in Game 5 between the Knicks and the Hawks, as New York blew out Atlanta in a 126-97 throttling.

This series has been a tale of nailbiters and blowouts, with each of the Knicks' three wins coming by a double-digit margin and each of the Hawks' two wins coming by a one-point margin. Game 5 was no different, with the Knicks winning by their biggest margin yet.

Jalen Brunson led the way for New York with 39 points and 8 assists, with OG Anunoby and Karl Anthony Towns both contributing double-doubles. The Hawks had four solid threats in the contest, with Dyson Daniels, Jalen Johnson, Onyeka Okongwu and Nickeil Alexander-Walker combining for 67 points on 55% shooting.

The Hawks' defense was not nearly enough, however, as the Knicks took an early lead and never looked back. In Game 6, the Knicks have a chance to lock up their fourth straight victory in an opening-round series.
