The Boston Red Soxshockingly parted ways with Alex Cora on Saturday, firing him and five of his assistant coaches after the team's disappointing 10-17 start.

Cora has been active on social media since then. On Sunday, he posted the word "Happy!" on X along with a smiling emoji. He's also posted several photos to his Instagram story, including ones of him and his fired coaches leaving Baltimore and getting dinner together in the North End.

On Tuesday, the World Series-winning manager shared an emotional message on X thanking Red Sox Nation for supporting him and his family over the last eight years.

Boston, we will miss you.

Cora played for Boston, too, helping the team win a World Series as a player in 2007. He's had a special relationship with Red Sox fans for two decades now, establishing himself as a pillar of the organization and the community.

After nearly a decade as one of Boston's most successful and respected managers in team history, it will be interesting to see what Cora does next. However, Red Sox fans will always remember and appreciate him for leading the best team in franchise history in 2018.
