Asher Dannenbring Achieves Strong Performance at AJGA Tournament in Colorado
WESTMINSTER, Colo. — Asher Dannenbring, a golfer from Mitchell, delivered an impressive performance at a recent American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) tournament in Colorado. The event, known as the Wyndham Clark tournament, took place from June 2-4 at the Walnut Creek Golf Preserve, situated just northwest of Denver.
Dannenbring, who is set to graduate from Mitchell High School in 2027, secured 31st place in a competitive field of 60 young golfers spanning the graduating classes of 2026 to 2030. He concluded the tournament with a total score of 4-over-par, achieving rounds of 74 and 75 to advance past the cut, followed by a commendable 1-under-par performance of 71 in his final round.
The tournament crowned Estuardo Duque as its champion, who finished with an impressive score of 11-under-par over the course of 54 holes. Duque's rounds included a stellar opening round of 66, followed by scores of 69 and 70. His performance led to a playoff against Nicholas Brooks from Parker, Colorado, who also finished at 11-under. Duque ultimately clinched the title on the first hole of the playoff.
