Colts Revise Offensive Depth Chart Following Minicamp Insights

After three days of minicamp practices, the Indianapolis Colts have updated their offensive depth chart. While the minicamp provides important insights, it is essential to remember that the final roster and playing time decisions will heavily depend on training camp and the preseason. At the quarterback position, the current hierarchy features Daniel Jones at the top, followed by Anthony Richardson, Riley Leonard, and Easton Stick. Richardson and Leonard are vying for the backup role, but Head Coach Shane Steichen recently noted, "Not right now," when asked if one was pulling ahead of the other. For now, Richardson retains the edge.

In the running back department, Jonathan Taylor leads the pack, with DJ Giddens and Seth McGowan competing for the backup spot. Giddens is slightly favored due to his prior experience in Steichen's system, and the coach has praised his development.

The wide receiver lineup includes Alec Pierce, Josh Downs, and Ashton Dulin, with Dulin emerging as the frontrunner for the WR3 position. Nick Westbrook-Ikhine is ahead of Laquon Treadwell, although Treadwell remains a strong contender for a roster spot.

The tight end group sees Tyler Warren leading, followed by Mo Alie-Cox and Drew Ogletree, maintaining continuity from last season. The offensive line features Bernhard Raimann, Quenton Nelson, Tanor Bortolini, Matt Goncalves, and Jalen Travis as the starters, with Jimmy Morrissey acting as the backup center due to his experience.
