Conmebol Designates Venue for O’Higgins vs. Boca Juniors Match

Conmebol has officially announced the location for the Copa Sudamericana Playoffs clash between O'Higgins and Boca Juniors. The Chilean club expressed their excitement on social media, stating, "We’re playing at home and with our fans!" as they confirmed that Rancagua’s Estadio Codelco El Teniente will host the second leg of the matchup against the Argentine team.

The decision came amidst concerns regarding the stadium's capacity, which falls short of the 20,000-seat minimum required for this stage of the tournament. Estadio Codelco El Teniente can accommodate 14,000 spectators, 6,000 less than what is needed.

The two-legged playoff is set to kick off on July 23 at 9:30 p.m. in Argentina and 8:30 p.m. in Chile, with the return leg scheduled for July 30 at the same times. This ongoing tournament is crucial for both teams as they vie for a spot in the next stages of the competition.
