🚨 James RodrÃguez set to leave Minnesota United
James RodrÃguez is set to leave Minnesota United after just three months in Major League Soccer.
The Columbian star joined Minnesota in February on a short-term deal until June 30, with a club option to extend through December 2026.
However, according to The Athletic's Tom Bogert and Apple TV’s Michele Giannone, Minnesota will not exercise their option. As a result, RodrÃguez will depart the club after Wednesday's match against Colorado Rapids.
The 34-year-old will immediately join Colombia's training camp, ahead of what will be his third World Cup.
In his brief time with Minnesota, RodrÃguez has made four appearances in MLS, scoring just once.
An earlier report from AS Colombia suggested James may retire after the World Cup, but his future is still unknown.
