Jaxon Smith-Njigba Tops List of NFL Players Under 25
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba has been recognized as the top player in the NFL under the age of 25, according to a recent analysis by Sam Monson from Check The Mic. This ranking places him above a highly talented group of young players in the league.
In this ranking, Smith-Njigba is positioned at No. 1, followed by notable talents such as New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye at No. 2, Los Angeles Chargers offensive lineman Joe Alt at No. 3, Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams at No. 4, and Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs at No. 5. Smith-Njigba’s exceptional performance distinguishes him in a competitive field.
Maye, who was the runner-up for the AP NFL MVP award in 2025, has made significant contributions to his team. Meanwhile, Alt demonstrated his prowess by allowing only one sack and seven pressures last season, solidifying his status as one of the league's premier offensive tackles. Williams also had an impressive season, throwing for 3,942 yards, while Gibbs has consistently amassed over 1,800 scrimmage yards in the past two years.
Despite this fierce competition, Smith-Njigba has emerged as the most outstanding offensive asset among his peers, playing a pivotal role in the Seahawks' success as Super Bowl champions.
