Kelsey Plum injury update: Sparks guard hurt in practice
Los Angeles Sparks superstar guard Kelsey Plum suffered a right lower leg injury during practice on Tuesday, one coach Lynne Roberts said might be an ankle injury.
Reporter Justin Russo shared that Plum needed help off the floor by several teammates after said injury and that Robert wasn't sure of the injury's extent.
Plum is the league's leading scorer and an MVP candidate, as she's averaging 26.8 points and 6.3 assists a game so far in 2026. The Sparks are 3-3 and desperately need Plum to manage a tough 2026 schedule.
If Plum misses any time, that's a huge setback for a Los Angeles team trying to find its footing.

Los Angeles will have to lean on guards like Ariel Atkins, Rae Burrell, Erica Wheeler and Kate Martin should Plum miss any time.
