PHILADELPHIA (AP) — In a thrilling matchup on Friday night, the Philadelphia Phillies emerged victorious against the Chicago White Sox with an 8-6 score, showcasing impressive performances from Brandon Marsh and Kyle Schwarber. This win marked the Phillies' fourth consecutive victory and the eighth in their last ten games.

Brandon Marsh, who is currently leading the National League with a .332 batting average, made a significant impact by hitting his first home run off a left-handed pitcher in nearly four years. His two-run blast in the second inning off White Sox starter Anthony Kay ignited a five-run rally for Philadelphia. This marked Marsh's first home run against a lefty since July 16, 2022, when he played for the Los Angeles Angels.

Meanwhile, Kyle Schwarber, who leads the majors with 23 home runs, achieved a career milestone by recording four singles in a single game for the first time.
