Olympiacos $30M Player To Cause 'Disaster' for PSG, Manchester United
Olympiacos has in its ranks a player who could cause a 'transfer disaster' this summer for clubs such as PSG, Manchester United, Barcelona, Juventus, among others, according to information coming from Greece.
Greek outlet Kerkidareports that Thrylos midfielder Christos Mouzakitis could leave his home country, provided his club's financial demands are met.
"Christos Mouzakitis is expected to cause a transfer 'disaster' this summer since many teams in Europe are interested in him and Olympiacos will not hesitate to let him go (as they did with Kostoula) if and as long as he remains financially satisfied," the cited source reported.
Mouzakitis, 19, has aroused the interest of multiple European clubs in recent months. Among them, PSG is clearly one. But the team most recently linked to the player has been Manchester United.
TEAMtalk reported, via TransferFeed, that the Red Devils "are interested in signing a young, promising midfielder as their Plan D, and Christos Mouzakitis from Olympiakos is considered an option."
But the list of interested parties is long and includes clubs such as Juventus, Porto, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Napoli, Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig, Bayern Munich, and even Barcelona.

It also cannot be ruled out that Mouzakitis will stay at Olympiacos a while longer. It is important to note that the young midfielder has not secured an undisputed starting spot in Jose Luis Mendilibar's team.
And at just 19 years old, the prospect of the player remaining in Greece does not seem complicated. Other clear examples of young players who were rumored to leave for Europe and ended up staying for many years at Olympiacos are Kostantinos Fortounis and Giorgos Masouras. The latter, in fact, still has a valid contract with Thrylos, but is on loan at Al-Khaleej in Saudi Arabia.
We will see what happens in the coming months. PSG's sporting director has a reputation for convincing young prospects to join his project, but the Parisian midfield seems a bit congested right now.
Manchester United, for its part, does seem to have more space in that area of the field to offer the player continuous development. Additionally, the sporting project under Michael Carrick seems to be heading in the right direction.
According to Football Transfers, Mouzakitis' market value is around $30 million. That is probably the minimum Olympiacos would require to let him go. We will see.
