Polaris Dominates Baja 500, Sweeps Podium

The recent Baja 500 concluded with Polaris achieving an impressive feat, securing the top three spots as well as the top nine overall finishes in the grueling 57th SCORE Baja 500. This victory marks a significant achievement for the brand's side-by-side racers, with Branden Sims taking first place in his RZR Pro R Factory vehicle.

The 2026 Baja 500 covered a challenging 468 miles of rugged desert terrain, and as the race came to an end, Polaris emerged as the clear winner. Although Sims has previously claimed victories in both the Baja 500 and the Baja 1000, this win signifies his first SCORE win since 2022, especially impressive given that he started from the sixth position. "Today was incredible, and it feels so good to get back on top and earn a win," Sims remarked. "To come away with the overall victory against such a talented field is really special. My new RZR Pro R Factory was absolutely dialed in and performed flawlessly all day long."

Following Sims, Wayne Matlock finished in second place, while rookie RZR Factory Racing driver Ethan Groom secured third, completing an all-Polaris podium. Mitch Guthrie Jr. took fourth, Dallas Gonzalez finished fifth, and Joe Terrana, alongside co-driver Rodrigo Ampudia, landed in sixth. Mike Cafro, Sebastian Marquez, and Kristen Matlock rounded out the top nine positions.

Alex Scheuerell, Polaris' Director of Off-Road Motorsports, expressed pride in their racers and the team effort that contributed to this success.
