Nyara Sabally contributed 15 points, while Isabelle Harrison marked her return from injury with 14 points in her first game of the season. Harrison made an impact early, hitting a three-pointer that extended the Tempo's lead to 20-9 with just over four minutes remaining in the first quarter. The Tempo maintained a comfortable lead throughout the contest, despite setting season lows in both three-pointers made (four) and three-point shooting percentage (18.2%).
In another matchup, the Los Angeles Sparks broke their three-game losing streak with a commanding 89-72 win over the Portland Fire. Nneka Ogwumike led the Sparks with 20 points and a season-high 17 rebounds, while Dearica Hamby scored 22 points along with 12 rebounds. Kelsey Plum also contributed significantly with 16 points, seven assists, and five rebounds.
Portland struggled throughout the game, committing 15 turnovers and shooting only 5-of-14 in the third quarter, which marked their lowest-scoring quarter of the season. The Sparks took advantage of these mistakes, outscoring the Fire 23-12 in that period, with a decisive fast-break layup from Hamby that solidified their lead.
