Texas Athletics Celebrates Stellar 2025-2026 Season Achievements
AUSTIN, TEXAS - On September 22, Texas Athletic Director Chris Del Conte was seen observing the action at Darrell K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium as the Longhorns faced off against the Arkansas Razorbacks on November 22, 2025. The Texas Athletics program has much to celebrate following a remarkable 2025-2026 academic year.
In a recent announcement, Texas Athletics highlighted its accomplishments, including securing “three NCAA Championships, seven top-three finishes, and 13 top-10 placements in NCAA competitions,” along with a league-leading six titles in the Southeastern Conference. Notably, the Texas baseball team made a notable appearance at the College World Series.
“Texas produced 11 top-five and 13 top-10 team finishes at the NCAA Championships during the recent academic year,” the announcement stated. The 11 top-five finishes rank as the second highest in the school's history, just shy of the 12 achieved in 2021-22. Similarly, the 13 top-10 finishes tie for the second most, one short of the record 14 from the same year. Over the past six years, the Longhorns have amassed 60 top-five and 78 top-10 NCAA team finishes.
This successful season has sparked interest and discussions among various sports media outlets regarding the future of Texas athletics, including new coaching appointments and potential expansions for facilities. The achievements of the Longhorns not only reflect their competitive edge but also set the stage for a promising future in collegiate sports.
