This is Josh Allen’s place in NFL history as he turns 30

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen turned 30 on Thursday, May 21.

While the big, durable signal-caller remains firmly in his prime, Allen can no longer claim the “promising young quarterback” tag.

During an eight-year career in Buffalo, Allen owns five AFC East championships and seven playoff appearances. He already broke the NFL record for rushing touchdowns by a quarterback with 79.

Still, his resume is missing one key accomplishment. Allen has yet to win an AFC championship or a Super Bowl.

Let’s take a look at Allen’s standing against the NFL greats on his 30th birthday (sources StatMuse and Spotrac). Allen ranks sixth, just out of the top five, in passing yards before age 30, so that category doesn’t make the cut.

So this is 30 for Allen

Life is good for Allen as he celebrates his birthday. He is approaching his first Father’s Day after welcoming a baby daughter in April with his Oscar-nominated wife Hailee Steinfeld.

On the field, Allen is recovered from a minor offseason foot surgery. Meanwhile, he is undergoing a change in leadership. Former offensive coordinator Joe Brady took over after the Bills fired Sean McDermott.

Buffalo added a new weapon for Allen in veteran receiver DJ Moore and revamped the defense with several moves, including the signing of EDGE Bradley Chubb.

The Bills open mandatory minicamp on June 9.
