UFL 2026 Playoff Picture: Teams and Dates Revealed
The United Football League has officially concluded its third regular season following the merger of the USFL and XFL, which formed the UFL in 2024. This union has ushered in a new chapter for spring football, and now, as the season wraps up, four teams are set to compete for the coveted UFL Championship, scheduled to take place at Audi Field in Washington, D.C.
After a dynamic 10 weeks of play, the playoff contenders have been finalized, setting the stage for a potential repeat champion or the emergence of a new titleholder. The semifinal matchups promise to be thrilling as teams vie for a chance at the championship title.
The Orlando Storm, in their debut UFL season, excelled by finishing with an impressive 8-2 record under head coach Anthony Becht. On June 7 at 3 p.m. ET, they will face the defending champions, the DC Defenders, in a high-stakes game at Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.
The St. Louis Battlehawks, a franchise with a rich legacy since the XFL's original launch in 2020, secured a playoff spot with a 6-4 record. Under rookie head coach Ricky Proehl, they will enjoy home-field advantage as they take on the Louisville Kings on June 7 at 6 p.m. ET at The Dome at America's Center in St. Louis.
In their inaugural season, the Louisville Kings also made their mark, finishing with a 6-4 record under the guidance of local football icon Chris Redman. They will look to continue their journey against the Battlehawks in the upcoming semifinal.
The DC Defenders, led by head coach Shannon Harris, are returning to the playoffs after finishing the regular season at 5-5. As the reigning champions, they will aim to defend their title against the Storm in what promises to be an exciting matchup.
