Virginia Tech Secures Commitment from West Virginia OL Luke Braham
Virginia Tech's football program celebrated a significant milestone this weekend during its official visit days, with the announcement of a new commitment from offensive lineman Luke Braham. The three-star recruit from Morgantown, West Virginia, made the announcement on Saturday evening, following the earlier commitment of in-state tight end Sam Faniel from Richmond.
Brahman, standing at 6 feet 5 inches and weighing 260 pounds, was not previously on the Hokies' radar, but this assertion is misleading due to his long-standing relationship with offensive line coach Matt Moore. Moore, who previously coached at West Virginia, has known Braham for several years and played a vital role in bringing him to Virginia Tech. The official offer extended to Braham in May made his decision to join the Hokies much easier.
Despite hailing from Morgantown, a city known for its loyalty to the Mountaineers, Braham chose Virginia Tech over offers from West Virginia, Rutgers, and other schools. He has excelled as an offensive tackle at University High School, showcasing impressive skills as a run blocker in his high school highlights.
Braham's commitment marks the 17th addition to Virginia Tech's recruiting class for 2027, and he follows four-star offensive lineman Kaden Buchanan, who pledged to the Hokies just a week prior. As Virginia Tech continues to build its roster, the addition of Braham is seen as a strategic move to strengthen their offensive line for the future.
Welcome to the Hokies, Luke!
