Von Miller continues teasing potential return to his original NFL team
Former Denver Broncos legend Von Miller is at it again with another social media crumb trail.
On Wednesday, Miller posted another Instagram story showing him wearing a Broncos jersey, but wearing the number 24. Miller wore No. 58 from the time he was drafted second overall in the 2011 NFL draft to when the Broncostraded Miller to the Los Angeles Rams in 2021.
Miller wore No. 40 with the Rams (2021) and the Buffalo Bills (2022-24), but wore No. 24 with his most recent team, the Washington Commanders (2025). That No. 24 honors former teammate and Pro Football Hall of Fame cornerback Champ Bailey, whom Miller played with from 2011-13. Denver usually doesn't give away 24 out of deference to Bailey, but the number is not one of the ones officially retired by the organization.
Miller also posted comments made by pass rusher Nik Bonitto at a charitable event for the Boys and Girls Club, saying he would love to play alongside Miller.

Miller has not been shy about his love for Denver, but has been cryptic in recent days about returning to the team. Could he be taking the route of former teammate Justin Simmons, hinting at a retirement as a Bronco? Or is he campaigning for a return?
Time will tell. Denver is already at the 91-man roster limit, so they would have to release a player to make room for Miller should he sign with the team.
