Winona Athletes Set to Compete at Nike Outdoor Nationals
WINONA — This week, Winona Cotter will proudly send several athletes to the prestigious Nike Outdoor Nationals in Eugene, Oregon. Among them is Erik Semling, who recently secured victory in the boys 3,200-meter race at the state track and field meet. He will participate in both the 3,200-meter event and the boys 5K championship.
Joining Semling from Cotter is Emma Hatanpa, who will compete in the girls 1,600-meter race. Additionally, Winona High is sending a 4x800 relay team to the national event, along with Calla Pike, who will run in the 800-meter event.
The Nike Outdoor Nationals is scheduled to take place from Thursday through Monday, June 18.
