While basketball season is still a few months away, Arizona women's basketball fans have reason to be excited as the Big 12 has announced the matchups for the 2026-27 season. This marks the second season for head coach Becky Burke, who will lead the Wildcats into what promises to be an engaging lineup.

The schedule is favorable for Arizona, as they will host nearly all of the conference's strongest teams. The Wildcats will face off against Arizona State, BYU, and Utah both at home and on the road. Traditionally, Arizona meets ASU twice each season, while their encounters with BYU and Utah may vary. Utah has been a consistent opponent since the Wildcats joined the Big 12 in 2024-25, with BYU returning as a recurring rival.

In previous seasons, Arizona has had mixed results against this trio. In 2024-25, they achieved a 4-2 record against them, though last year saw them struggle, finishing 1-5. ASU, under new coach Molly Miller, aims to climb the rankings after improving from 15th to 10th place. Utah has consistently performed well, finishing in the top half of the league standings both years.

Arizona will also host Baylor, Cincinnati, Iowa State, TCU, Texas Tech, and West Virginia, most of which performed strongly last season. The Wildcats, however, faced challenges against these teams last year, ending with an 0-6 record. Their toughest away game is anticipated to be against Oklahoma State, which recently bolstered its roster with a significant transfer.

Additional details, including game times and broadcast information, will be revealed in the future. Arizona will kick off the regular season during the Hall of Fame Series Opening Night, facing Stanford on November 2 at 11:30 a.m. MST in Las Vegas. The complete nonconference schedule has yet to be announced.
