The Iowa Cubs faced a tough loss against the Indianapolis Pirates, falling 14-5. Right-handed pitcher Connor Noland returned from the injured list, throwing four innings and allowing two runs, one of which was earned, while striking out six batters. However, relief pitcher Zac Leigh struggled, giving up five runs on just one hit and four walks in just one-third of an inning, leading to his loss.

On a brighter note for Iowa, Gavin Hollowell impressed with another perfect inning in the seventh, striking out two. His performance has kept his ERA at an impressive 1.23, with no earned runs allowed since May 7. Chas McCormick contributed significantly with two hits and two RBIs, while Ben Cowles also added two hits and a run scored.

Meanwhile, the Knoxville Smokies pulled off a doubleheader sweep against the Chattanooga Lookouts, winning both games 7-5. Jake Knapp started game one, giving up just one run over 2.2 innings, while Dawson Netz secured the victory with a solid 3.1 innings of relief. Ethan Hearn and Owen Ayers each launched home runs, contributing to the Smokies' offensive display.

The South Bend Cubs triumphed over the Ft. Wayne TinCaps 7-0, highlighted by Drew Bowser's second consecutive game hitting a grand slam in the sixth inning, marking his third home run of the season. Koen Moreno initiated the game, allowing only two hits in four innings, while Mason McGwire made an impressive High-A debut, throwing three scoreless innings to earn a save.

Lastly, the Myrtle Beach Pelicans edged out the Wilson Warbirds with a 7-5 victory, thanks to late-game heroics from Geuri Lubo, who hit a three-run homer in the eighth inning. This win marked an exciting comeback for the Pelicans as they secured the lead for the first time in the game.
